Introduction to Film

Today a good movie is something I wouldn't want to live without. There just something amazing about the way movies can relate to you personally that makes it hard to believe that the idea of a movie started without sound and using only a camera.What would it be like to live in the time period of films first days? What were the peoples reactions to inventions such as the Kinetograph and Kinetoscope? I can just imagine how peoples perceptions and ideas of the world began to drastically change. Its amazing to think how this one invention, so many years ago, could have a direct affect on the world I live in today.
